Services not covered by OHIP
Some services are not paid for by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan and are billed directly to the patient, in line with Ontario Medical Association guidance. Common examples include:
- Sick notes for work or school
- Insurance, employment, driver’s and camp forms
- Medical-legal letters and reports
- Copying and transferring medical records
- Prescription renewals by phone or fax without a visit
